About CIP Council

If you're enthusiastic about making meaningful contributions to both your school and the larger community in a self-driven, enriching, and fulfilling manner, then Hwa Chong’s CIP Council could be an ideal match for you!

Over the years, the CIP Council has led various impactful school wide initiatives such as Cause we Can (appreciating migrant workers), Cookies with a Cause (supporting individuals with mild intellectual disabilities and autism), and Kits for Kids (supporting hospitalised and underprivileged children). These projects are designed to inspire and involve the wider student body in community service.

In addition to spearheading these projects, CIP Councillors have the opportunity to serve the school community as a student committee. Leveraging on our expertise in community service matters, we mentor student-initiated Service Learning Groups and source individual volunteering opportunities for students.

Furthermore, there's active engagement with the community through our CCA CIP. This involves regular volunteering as a batch at the Care Corner Senior Activity Centre in Toa Payoh, fostering connections and making a positive impact in the community.

Typically, CCA sessions are held on Thursdays, dedicated to planning and executing various batch projects that positively affect the community.

The central mission of the CIP Council is to cultivate a culture of generosity and kindness within Hwa Chong and to build a community founded on compassion. If this mission resonates with you, we warmly invite you to join our CIPC family!
