About Calligraphy

Are you looking for a CCA that is low-commitment but also super enriching, relaxing and fun? Do you think your Chinese handwriting is ugly and want to improve it? If so, Chinese Calligraphy will be the perfect CCA for you!

We have CCA sessions every Wednesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at B107. During your time here, you will learn to write in different fonts (楷书，行书…) on papers of different sizes and forms (大中堂，条幅，扇子…). The sessions are generally very chill too. :D

除了日常练习, 我们还有丰富的活动和比赛等着你参加！每年春节的挥春活动中，你可以发挥想象力，创作属于自己独一无二的春联并售卖给全校师生；各式各样的校外书法比赛也将是你大显身手的好机会！

如果你想在华中感受到中华文化的浓厚气息，体会书法艺术的气象万千，那就加入我们吧！

Know basic Mandarin, no previous background

2021 Achievements

NCube National Chinese Calligraphy Competition: Clinched all of the top 6 prizes in the writing competition. Two members also got second and third place for the Popularity Award

第32届全国学生书法赛: One member won first place, while three others won the consolation prize

Ngee Ann National Students’ Calligraphy Competition 2021: Two members won Gold and Bronze, while 7 won the Merit Award
