Library Club

Library Club aims to serve the school by assisting in the management of our very own Jing Xian library in order to enable students and staff alike to enjoy a fulfilling experience in the library, via our shelving and counter duties. During CCA sessions, we prepare for upcoming activities through brainstorming and planning. We then work on the creative aspects of the activities, publicising them followed by handling the administrative work involved. This is where our 4 different committees come into play!

 

Furthermore, we also recommend books on our Instagram page (@hci_library_club). Occasionally, we collaborate with other CCAs, providing them with a platform to demonstrate their expertise, and interviews with teachers on their recommended books.

 

Library Week is our flagship event, a week of activities under a theme aimed at engaging students and promoting good reading habits. In 2021, we held a riddle hunt, poetry contest and book sale for our space-themed Library Week! Do check out our CCA if you would like to serve the school and have a passion for reading!
