About ELDDFS
Do you love binge-watching films, or writing angsty poems in your free time? Or do you have a flair for winning every argument and reciting emotional monologues? Well, we welcome you to join Hwa Chong’s very own English Literature Drama Debate and Film Society (ELDDFS)!
ELDDFS’ four different wings work in tandem to give our CCA members chances to grow and develop their love for the English Arts. Under the guidance of our Drama and Debate coaches, our members explore the intricacies of theatre and reasoning. Our Film and Lit wing members also have chances to shine, working on original, self-directed projects. All these culminate in various wing events: from Singapore Youth Festival to Young Adult Writers Perform, and from Filmfeste to Hwa Chong British Parliamentaries, every wing offers major opportunities for every member to showcase their skills.
Of course, all four wings converge in numerous inter-wing sessions and events, notably our flagship event, Camp Re:ACT!, an annual day-camp for local teens. The camp aims to push like-minded peers to venture beyond their classrooms and immerse themselves in the Arts, while serving as a culmination of the passion and abilities our own members have acquired in ELDDFS.
If you’re looking for a diverse community built on a common love for language and the Arts, ELDDFS is the perfect place for you. We can’t wait to meet you!
